Save time and money with integration and automated processes

A lot of what I do is concerned with efficiency and streamlining. This can be providing better management information to allow fact-based business decisions, or allowing disconnected systems to connect together and allow automated flow of information between them.
I work with in-house and cloud-based systems to take away time-consuming tasks and provide better means for data to be captured and move to the appropriate systems.

CANDIDATE REGISTRATION

July 2021

Using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Voice (previously called Forms Pro), Power Automate and a new Windows service, candidates are emailed with a link to securely collect registration information that then automatically feeds back into the candidate's Dynamics 365 CRM record. This replaced a 3rd party system, saving around £30K p.a.

DYNAMICS CRM DATA EXPORT

March 2021

My client needed to be able to export various information from a Mercury xRM system to be imported into an Access Pay & Bill system in order that temporary workers are paid and clients are invoiced accordingly. I provided an application to move personnel, placement and timesheet data from the cloud-based CRM system to data formatted for import into the pay and bill system on demand.

CRM MIGRATION

This project covered:

Moving from an Access RDB (Pronet) CRM to a Microsoft Dynamics 365 Mercury xRM system, this project was done in compressed timescales and went successfully live in May 2021.​

WEBSITE TO MICROSOFT DYNAMICS 365 CRM INTEGRATION

April 2021

This recruitment client needed to ensure that their new website supplied candidate information to its Microsoft Dynamics CRM, keeping them both in sync, including for GDPR purposes. The middleware I produced provided the website provider an API to send data to and this then updated the Mercury xRM system and emailed CVs through to be processed by DaXtra.

Business Meeting

HR SYSTEM INTEGRATION

January 2021

My client employs a significant number of internal hires each month and required a connection between their hiring system and their HR system for employee information, which had previously required manual entry. With this project, this data transfer now happens on an automated basis.

RECRUITMENT COMPLIANCE PROCESS

December 2019

This client has more than 30 nurseries that it recruits for. The compliance process is critical, and this project augmented its CRM system with an integrated process and clear interfaces for the people involved to use.

PHONE STATS REPORTING VIA API

August 2019

This required a very quick turnaround; a new IP phone system, with cloud based reporting, was being installed. As phone stats were very important to this client, I built a service that queried the API of the phone system, and constantly updated the reporting information in-house.

Update August 2021: keeping the phone API logic, this now updates the new cloud based Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM system with the same stats.

AUTOMATED KPI REPORTING

April 2019

I helped my client remove the need for manual collation of activity data, pulling data from different sources and sending it out weekly in a formatted spreadsheet, with a Power BI report for executives.

GDPR SOLUTION

May 2018

The requirement here was to ensure that my recruitment client would be GDPR compliant with respect to the hundreds of thousands of candidates on its CRM system. I produced a system that automatically emailed candidates, giving them an easy way of setting their preferences via a simple web site, removing them from the CRM system, should they so wish.

AUTO INSERT OF SCANNED DOCUMENT TO CRM

September 2019

Working with a printer supplier, I produced part of the solution to allow users to scan identification documents directly into that person's CRM record, saving time and improving GDPR compliance.

REPORT PRODUCTION

2012 onwards

I often produce straightforward reporting on a quick turnaround. Sometimes the 'out of the box' reports don't give quite the right information and a new report that delivers just what is required can save huge amounts of time. Reports can be automated, or, using a technology such as Power BI, be made to allow drilling down into the data, analysis and modelling.
